Omaha Beer Fest 2020 Canceled

OMAHA, NE June 1, 2020. Horsemen’s Park has made the decision to cancel this year’s Omaha Beer Festival based on the number of local and national Brewers that have said they are unable to participate in the event.

Horsemen’s Park plans to use the Beer Fest date of Saturday, July 18th to host an outdoor concert to support local music. “Bash on the Grass” will feature some of Omaha’s top bands including: Eckophonic, Secret Weapon, Hi-Fi Hangover, and Lemon Fresh Day. Music will begin at 4:00 pm with 2 stages of alternating bands playing until midnight.

“The 22 acres of our racetrack infield has proven to be the ideal location for Omaha Beer Fest. While we are saddened that the event will not occur this year, we understand that without Brewers, it’s not a beer festival. Substituting it with a music festival makes sense right now. Local musicians have really suffered during the Covid-19 restrictions. This replacement event supports local music and gives fans a chance to celebrate summer in a large outdoor area that allows for social distancing” said Mike Newlin, General Manager at Horsemen’s Park.

Individual Walk-In General Admission is $20.00. General Infield Parking Pass $40.00 (no restriction on the number of people per vehicle). VIP Infield Parking passes (no restriction on number of people per vehicle) $50.00 with VIP early access to the festival at 2:30 pm. General Admission gates open at 3:15 pm.

Attendees will be allowed to bring in lawn chairs, blankets and beach towels. Not outside food or beverages may enter the park. Pools and cooling stations will be located throughout the park in addition to grass Volleyball courts and other adult games. Must be 21 to enter the festival.
